About Chiral Audio

Founded 2026 · Atlanta, GA

Chiral Audio™ is an independent audio plugin studio. The digital signal processing (DSP) is governed by equations that describe real physical mechanisms, not metaphors or vague language.

Founder

Chiral was founded by Blake Corman in early 2026. Blake holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee, with graduate coursework completed in physical chemistry at Vanderbilt University.

Blake has over seven years' experience in product development, spanning skincare and enterprise software. He's worked on household brands like Dove and Dollar Shave Club at Unilever, and most recently led Meltwater's Media Relations platform used by over 10,000 clients worldwide, including much of the Fortune 1000.

Music production has run alongside the science and product development the whole time. Piano since childhood. Electronic music production for five years. Chiral is the convergence of those two trajectories: physical-science fluency expressed through audio engineering.

Approach

Plugin marketing tends toward sonic adjectives: warm, lush, vintage, character. Chiral takes a different posture. Each product implements a specific governing equation. Kuramoto for synchronization. Logistic growth for autocatalytic resonance. Korteweg-de Vries for solitary waves. The knobs you turn map to terms in the equations: you're playing science as an instrument.

Three principles inform every release:

  1. Mechanism-first design. The product is named for what it computes. The equation is the brand.
  2. Claims that match artifacts. If Foxfire promises sixteen coupled oscillators, sixteen are running.
  3. Independent operation. Solo developer. US-based. Direct support from the same person who wrote the code.

Status

Three products are released as of May 1, 2026: Foxfire, Autocatalysis, and Soliton. The three can be purchased together as the Catalog V1 Bundle as a special offer. macOS 11+ ships VST3, AU, and Standalone (signed, notarized, and stapled). Windows 10+ ships VST3 and is unsigned at launch. Apple Silicon and Intel native. Linux and Max for Live are not part of the launch catalog.

Catalog V2 is forthcoming, with four products in development: Chemotaxis (gradient-driven steering through a chemical field), Osmotic (equilibration across a semipermeable boundary), Boltzmann (probabilistic distribution over energy states), and Hysteresis (state shaped by input history).
