# Chiral Audio > Chiral Audio makes physics-based audio plugins. The DSP is the governing equation of a real physical mechanism, not a metaphor for one. Founded by Blake Corman, a chemistry researcher turned independent plugin developer. ## What is currently shippable - macOS 11+: VST3, Audio Unit, and Standalone. Signed, notarized, and stapled by Apple. - Windows 10+: VST3. Unsigned at launch. Distributed as a ZIP containing the .vst3 file directly (no installer); SmartScreen typically does not appear because there is no executable to run. - Linux: not supported. - Apple Silicon and Intel: native on both. ## Products - [Foxfire](https://chiral.audio/foxfire): Kuramoto synchronization chorus and harmonic ensemble. Sixteen coupled oscillators that drift, partially synchronize, flicker at the critical coupling, and lock. $29 launch, list $39. - [Autocatalysis](https://chiral.audio/autocatalysis): Resonant filterbank driven by logistic-growth dynamics. Self-reinforcing band activation modeled on autocatalytic chemical reactions. $35 launch, list $49. - [Soliton](https://chiral.audio/soliton): Dispersion-balanced delay derived from the Korteweg-de Vries equation. Solitary waves that preserve shape under nonlinear dispersion. $49 launch, list $69. - [Catalog V1 Bundle](https://chiral.audio/catalog): All three plugins. $99 launch, list $157, saves $58. ## Reference pages - [Home](https://chiral.audio/): brand summary, current catalog, newsletter signup. - [Catalog](https://chiral.audio/catalog): all products in one place. - [Demos](https://chiral.audio/demos): audio examples on real source material. - [About](https://chiral.audio/about): founder, mission, current catalog status. - [Press Kit](https://chiral.audio/press): brand assets, product summaries, downloadable logos and chassis images, contact. - [Research Notes](https://chiral.audio/research): plain-language explainers connecting physical mechanisms to Chiral Audio plugins. - [Kuramoto Synchronization in Audio](https://chiral.audio/kuramoto-audio-synchronization): explainer for the coupled-oscillator model behind Foxfire's drift, critical flicker, and lock. - [Foxfire vs. Chorus, Phaser, and Ensemble](https://chiral.audio/foxfire-vs-chorus-phaser-ensemble): practical comparison between classic modulation effects and Foxfire's coupled-oscillator chorus architecture. - [What Is a Soliton in Audio?](https://chiral.audio/soliton-audio-processing): explainer for Soliton's balance of allpass dispersion, in-loop saturation, and energy regulation. - [John Scott Russell's Horseback Chase](https://chiral.audio/russell-horseback-chase): historical companion on the 1834 wave of translation, KdV, and the solitary-wave model behind Soliton. - [Glossary](https://chiral.audio/glossary): mechanism-first definitions of the physical and mathematical terms used across products. - [Help & Manuals](https://chiral.audio/help): install, activation, license recovery, and per-plugin parameter references for the Chiral Audio catalog. - [Privacy Policy](https://chiral.audio/privacy) - [Terms of Service](https://chiral.audio/terms) - [Refund Policy](https://chiral.audio/refund) ## How licensing works - Purchase via Paddle Billing on the marketing site (`chiral.audio`). - Licenses are issued and verified by a Cloudflare Worker at `license.chiral.audio`. - One license key activates two machines per product. - Plugin runs offline for fourteen days between online checks. - Refunds within seven days revoke the license. ## What this site does NOT claim - No customer reviews, ratings, awards, or press coverage are surfaced unless they are real and linked from the press page. - Windows builds are not Authenticode-signed at launch. Distribution is a ZIP, not an installer; users extract the .vst3 file and copy it into their VST3 folder. If Windows quarantines the file on first run, right-click the .vst3 → Properties → Unblock. - Max for Live (M4L) is not part of the launch catalog. ## Founder and contact - Founder: Blake Corman. - Contact: blake@chiral.audio. - The site is a static React SPA. The license worker is a separate service. The two are deployed and operated independently.
